What we invest in
Investment strategies and sectors
We invest through three strategies across the GCC, Asia and Europe, and focus on profitable companies with sound governance.
Mandate
Scope of the mandate
We are a generalist investor with a global mandate, covering the GCC, Asia and Europe.
Our investments span growth and pre-IPO equity, listed and cornerstone positions, and technology. Across these strategies, we focus on profitable companies with credible management, sound governance and a clear route to a listing or another form of realisation.
Growth and pre-IPO equity
We invest in profitable, founder-led companies that are considering a public listing within a few years, typically through minority interests. We focus on businesses with strong margins, low leverage and positive operating cash flow, assessed relative to listed peers. We support management through the listing process, strengthening governance, reporting and technology readiness, and may take board representation depending on our shareholding.
Listed and cornerstone positions
We take cornerstone or anchor positions in initial public offerings, qualified placements and block transactions. We also invest in listed companies trading at valuations below those of comparable peers. Our approach focuses on markets in Hong Kong, Europe, the GCC and India, where we identify sufficient depth and range of companies for this strategy.
Technology
We invest in companies that enable the build-out of data centres, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence, including equipment, components, power, cooling and related services. We assess these businesses on cash flow and margins as we would any industrial company.
Technology investments
Geographic focus
The GCC, Asia and Europe
GCC
We are based in Muscat and invest across Oman and the wider Gulf, where our founders and advisers have built relationships over decades. The United Kingdom concluded a free trade agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council in May 2026, deepening links between the Gulf and Europe.
Asia
We invest in India, advised by Sunrise Capital Partners in Mumbai, and in Greater China and Singapore. India's growth is driven by domestic consumption, services and deepening capital markets, while China's is supported by its industrial upgrade. Holding both markets broadens the sources of growth in a portfolio.
Europe
European listed companies trade at lower valuations than their United States peers, and takeover activity provides listed investors with an additional route to realisation. Europe is also investing in its defence and energy infrastructure.
Sectors
Structural demand drivers
We focus on sectors shaped by three structural drivers: industrial upgrading, the build-out of digital and energy infrastructure, and increased investment in health and security. Margins and governance differ widely within each sector, so we select companies at the stronger end of their peer group and value them on audited cash flow.
Industrial automation and electronics components
Suppliers to the build-out of manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
Power, grids and energy storage
The equipment and services behind grid investment, energy storage and new data-centre capacity.
Pharmaceutical contract manufacturing
Contract manufacturers in India and Europe.
Industrial and specialty chemicals
Industrial and specialty chemical producers in Greater China.
Defence and security
European defence and security companies.
